World Peace begins with the individual

Can music heal the world? Some might think so, others might think its too late, that we are past the point of no return.
I think that the future is a multi-dimensional reality. It can be many futures, all at the same time. Our future as the human race depends on what we do now, today. As a group, it is imperative that we work on ourselves, as individuals. As we grow and become more powerful, others will come to us, we will not need to promote our value. Others will see the inherent value because of our actions. The critical word is "see". If no one can see you, if you are invisible, or a hermit, then no one will find out about you. Once again, people skills are more important that logic, reason and music itself. If you have no people skills, then you have no band, or any gigs.

What are people skills? The ability to have compassion, empathy. The ability to relate to others. The ability to accept people as they are and not judge them. The ability to have boundaries and know where you begin and end and where others begin and end. Lack of boundaries equals no intimacy which equals unhealthy relationships with equals bad people skills. As Burt Bacharach said, "People who need people are the luckiest people in the world". I agree.

The recipe for success in todays world:
1. Develop and improve yourself as an individual
2. Stay off of drugs and stay away from mind altering experiences that distort reality:
a. religious addiction
b. negative people addiction
c. perfectionism, self rightousness, grandiosity, shameless behaviour
3. Help others by setting a positive example
4. Team up with healthy people and work together for a common goal: to make the world a better place
5. Have faith in a higher power of your choosing, and practice a spiritual program of your understanding
